Apply to the Smoke Detector Program.

A working smoke detector roughly halves your risk of dying in a home fire. Through our program we install detectors and replace batteries for residents who need them — at no cost.

This is an application, not an instant order. Supply is limited and the program began to help seniors and neighbors who need it most, so we review each request. There's no catch — nobody will ask you for money.
