Burn Permit Application

Apply for a burn permit.

A burn ban is in effect, so recreational fires are the only permit being issued right now — a covered backyard fire pit, good for up to 90 days.

The only burn permits that can be applied for right now are recreational. All other burn permit applications will resume once the burn ban has been lifted. Submitting this form does not authorize you to burn — a permit is not valid until the department issues it.

Recreational: a covered backyard fire pit, good up to 90 days, allowed even during a ban. Open burning and event bonfires cannot be applied for until the burn ban lifts.

Natural vegetation only. Burn barrels and household trash are prohibited — no exceptions.
